1. About Vaathi Ride

Vaathi Ride is a technology platform designed to connect passengers with drivers for ride-booking services. VaathiRide is operated by Abservetech Private Limited, under the trading name VaathiRide.

Our objective is to make local transportation convenient by enabling passengers to request rides through our mobile application and allowing drivers to receive and respond to ride requests.

Vaathi Ride provides technology to facilitate ride requests, driver matching, trip information and related platform services. Our platform may support different categories of transportation — including bike rides, auto rides, cab rides, rentals and outstation trips — subject to availability and applicable legal permissions.

How the Platform Works

• Passengers enter their pickup and destination details and request a ride.
• Available drivers may receive and accept ride requests.
• Passengers receive available driver and vehicle information through the application.
• Drivers and passengers are expected to follow applicable laws, safety requirements and platform policies throughout the journey.

Vaathi Ride aims to provide a convenient booking experience, transparent fare information and accessible support for passengers and drivers. Our services are subject to applicable laws, regulatory requirements and the terms described in this document.

2. General Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the Vaathi Ride website, mobile application and related services. By creating an account, accessing the application or using our services, you agree to the applicable terms and policies. If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue using the platform.

2.1 Eligibility and Account Information

• Users must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account or requesting a ride.
• Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and notifying Vaathi Ride if they suspect unauthorized account access.
• Accounts must not be used for fraudulent activities, impersonation, harassment, unlawful purposes or misuse of the platform.

2.2 Platform Role

Vaathi Ride provides technology to facilitate connections between passengers and drivers. The legal relationship between Vaathi Ride, drivers and passengers depends on the applicable service arrangement and governing law. The description of Vaathi Ride as a connecting platform does not remove any licensing, safety, consumer-protection or other obligations imposed on it by law.

2.3 Service Availability

Ride availability depends on driver availability, location, network connectivity, operational conditions and applicable legal permissions. Vaathi Ride does not guarantee that a driver will always be available or that every ride request will be accepted. Services will be offered only in locations and vehicle categories where the relevant operations are legally permitted.

2.4 Account Restrictions

Vaathi Ride may investigate suspected fraud, misuse, safety violations or breaches of these terms. Accounts may be restricted or suspended where there is a legitimate reason, subject to applicable law and any required notice or review process.

3. Passenger Terms and Conditions

3.1 Booking a Ride

Passengers may use the application to enter pickup and destination information and request a ride. A request is subject to driver availability and confirmation through the platform.

Passengers should review the assigned driver's information, vehicle details and estimated fare where available before starting the journey. Estimated arrival times, routes and fares may change due to traffic, weather, road closures, network connectivity or other circumstances.

3.2 Passenger Responsibilities

Passengers are expected to:

• Provide accurate pickup and destination information.
• Verify the assigned driver and vehicle before boarding.
• Follow applicable traffic and passenger-safety requirements.
• Wear a seat belt or helmet as required by law.
• Treat drivers respectfully.
• Avoid harassment, threats, violence, discrimination or property damage.
• Avoid carrying prohibited or dangerous items.
• Follow lawful safety instructions during the journey.
• Report incidents and concerns through the appropriate channels.

Passengers must not request a driver to violate traffic laws or exceed legally permitted passenger or luggage limits.

3.3 Fare and Payment

Passengers should review the estimated fare and applicable charges displayed through the application before confirming a booking, where this information is available. The final fare will be determined according to the applicable fare rules and the details of the journey.

Additional charges, including waiting charges, tolls, parking fees or other permitted fees, must be disclosed in accordance with applicable law and the published fare policy. Passengers may contact support if they believe a fare has been calculated incorrectly.

3.4 Passenger Cancellations

Passengers may cancel a booking using the available application features or support channels. Cancellation charges may apply only where permitted by law and disclosed according to the applicable cancellation policy. Repeated fraudulent bookings, misuse of promotions or deliberate misuse of the service may result in account restrictions.

3.5 Lost Items

Passengers who leave belongings in a vehicle should contact Vaathi Ride support with the trip details and a description of the item. We will make reasonable efforts to facilitate communication where possible. Recovery of a lost item cannot be guaranteed.

3.6 Passenger Complaints

4. Driver Terms and Conditions

4.1 Driver Eligibility

Drivers must satisfy the legal requirements applicable to their vehicle and service category. Depending on the service, this may include:

• A valid driving licence for the relevant vehicle category.
• Vehicle registration and required permits.
• Valid insurance appropriate for the vehicle's use.
• Fitness certificates and other required vehicle documents.
• Compliance with applicable transport and safety regulations.
• Completion of any required platform verification.

Registration with Vaathi Ride does not replace government-issued licences, permits or other legal authorizations.

4.2 Driver Documents and Verification

Drivers must provide accurate information and valid documents when registering. Drivers must promptly update information when documents expire, are suspended or otherwise become invalid. Vaathi Ride may verify submitted information and request additional documentation where reasonably necessary for safety, security or legal compliance.

4.3 Vehicle Safety and Maintenance

Drivers must maintain their vehicles in a safe and roadworthy condition. Drivers must use only vehicles legally authorized for the services they provide and comply with applicable vehicle safety and maintenance requirements. Drivers must not accept bookings for services they are not legally authorized to perform.

4.4 Safe Driving Responsibilities

Drivers must:

• Follow traffic rules and speed limits.
• Never drive under the influence of alcohol or prohibited substances.
• Avoid handheld phone use while driving.
• Use required helmets, seat belts and other safety equipment.
• Carry only the legally permitted number of passengers.
• Avoid driving when fatigued or otherwise unfit to drive.
• Comply with applicable passenger-safety requirements.
• Operate the vehicle responsibly and professionally.

4.5 Driver Conduct

Drivers must treat passengers respectfully and must not engage in harassment, discrimination, threats, violence, intimidation or inappropriate conduct. Drivers must not manipulate fares, falsify trip records, misuse passenger information or demand unauthorized payments.

4.6 Ride Acceptance and Completion

Drivers should review booking details before accepting a ride. After accepting a booking, drivers should make reasonable efforts to complete the journey safely and professionally. If a journey cannot be completed safely or lawfully, the driver should inform the passenger and follow the applicable cancellation or support procedure.

4.7 Driver Earnings and Fares

Drivers must follow the applicable fare and payment arrangements communicated through the platform. Any additional charges must comply with the published fare policy and applicable law. Driver earnings, commissions, payment timing and other commercial arrangements will be governed by the applicable driver agreement or platform terms.

4.8 Accidents and Emergencies

In the event of an accident or emergency, drivers must prioritize immediate safety, contact emergency services when necessary and comply with applicable legal reporting requirements. Drivers should promptly report serious incidents to Vaathi Ride through the designated support channels.

4.9 Driver Suspension

Vaathi Ride may restrict or suspend driver access for reasons including expired documents, suspected fraud, serious safety concerns, substantiated misconduct or legal non-compliance. Any suspension or termination process will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the relevant driver agreement.

5. Platform Role, Responsibilities and Liability

Vaathi Ride provides technology intended to facilitate connections between passengers and drivers and support ride-booking activities.

Drivers remain responsible for complying with the laws applicable to their driving, vehicles, permits and insurance. Passengers remain responsible for their own conduct and compliance with applicable laws.

Vaathi Ride is responsible for the obligations imposed on it by applicable law and for its own acts and omissions. Nothing in this document means that Vaathi Ride has no responsibility for every incident, accident, complaint or dispute.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability, consumer right, statutory duty or legal remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

The platform does not guarantee that every journey will be free from risk, that every driver or passenger will behave appropriately, or that all technology and network services will operate without interruption. Users should exercise reasonable care, follow safety guidance and report concerns promptly.

6. Prohibited Activities

Users must not use Vaathi Ride to:

• Commit fraud or engage in unlawful activity.
• Harass, threaten, abuse or discriminate against another person.
• Submit false account, booking or identity information.
• Manipulate fares, payments, promotions or trip records.
• Access another user's account without authorization.
• Misuse, interfere with or attempt to compromise the platform's security.
• Request or provide services that violate applicable law.
• Share another person's personal information without a lawful basis.

Violations may result in investigation, account restrictions, suspension or other appropriate action, subject to applicable law.

7. Intellectual Property

The Vaathi Ride name, logo, website content, application design and other platform materials may be protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Users may not reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially exploit protected materials without authorization, except where permitted by law. Nothing in this section affects any third-party intellectual property rights or licences.

8. Changes to Services and Policies

Vaathi Ride may modify its services, application features or policies to reflect operational changes, improvements or legal requirements.

Where required by law, material changes will be communicated through appropriate channels. Updated terms will be published with the applicable effective date. Any required user notice or consent will be obtained in accordance with applicable law.

9. Applicable Law and Disputes

These terms are subject to the laws of India and any applicable Tamil Nadu regulatory requirements.

Disputes will be handled by the competent authorities, courts or other forums in accordance with applicable law. Nothing in this section restricts any consumer's statutory rights or access to a forum that cannot lawfully be excluded by contract.
