Safety is a shared priority for passengers, drivers and the platform. Passengers should:
- Verify the driver's identity and vehicle details before boarding.
- Avoid boarding if the vehicle or driver does not match the booking information.
- Wear a helmet or seat belt as applicable and required by law.
- Share trip details with a trusted person where appropriate.
- Avoid sharing unnecessary personal information.
- Report suspicious conduct or unsafe driving.
- Contact emergency services immediately if there is an emergency.
2. Driver Safety
Drivers should:
- Maintain valid licences, vehicle documents, permits and required insurance.
- Accept only rides they are legally authorized and fit to perform.
- Check the vehicle's condition and required safety equipment.
- Follow traffic rules and never drive under the influence.
- Respect passenger privacy and personal boundaries.
- Avoid handheld phone use while driving.
- Report accidents, threats, harassment and serious safety incidents.
3. Reporting Safety Incidents
Users can report safety concerns through:
- Email: support@vaathiride.com
- Mobile: +91 9003807321
Please provide the booking reference, trip date, time and relevant details when it is safe to do so.
In India, call 112 for an emergency requiring immediate assistance. Users should not rely solely on app support during an emergency.
4. Scope of Safety Measures
Vaathi Ride will handle safety reports according to its procedures and applicable legal obligations.
The availability of any particular safety feature depends on the actual functionality of the application. Users should not assume that a feature exists unless it is available and described in the app. No app feature or safety guideline can guarantee that an incident will never occur.
